Hooray! Firm TMR favourite Girl Ray is back with new single ‘Show Me More’ and a welcome announcement of their second album, Girl, due for release on 8th November this year. Known for their engaging music videos, which show exactly why a big budget isn’t everything, the North London trio keep it simple in the visual for ‘Show Me More’. The one-shot video follows the band members as they cycle around a local park, the evening twilight eventually fading into night. It’s a simple but perfectly suited visual accompaniment to ‘Show Me More’, a shimmering piece of tropical synth-pop complete with foot-tapping percussion and a stick-in-your-head guitar progression. As the band put it, ‘Show Me More’ is about “crushing really hard but having to play the long game and wait it out because your boo is playing savage games. It’s your classic pop banger. Steamy dance floor. Drinks on me.” Girl Ray will tour the UK in February 2020 with their biggest London headline show to date at Electric Ballroom on 26th February 2020. - Hannah Thacker
